Athlete Assessments

Available Services:

  • We use MAT Jump-Start ROM assessments along with corrective exercises to meet your athletes individual needs.
  • Our dart-fish software allows us to video athletes performing any task.  Once we have the video we can look at the mechanics frame-by-frame.  (When coupled with the MAT Jump-Start assessment, we are able to effectively eliminate compensation patterns that lead to injury as well as improve performance).
  • One of the best ways to kick start your workout is using one of our detailed MAT warm-ups specific to your team sport.
Reaching the highest level of performance is not only dependent on athleticism and skill, but on staying healthy!  In competitive sports and training, it is often said that an athlete is either building his or her body or destructing it. Understanding the proper progression of exercise will not only improve productivity, but help to lower and potentially eliminate the likelihood of overtraining injuries.  This is why we have put together an easy to follow workout that will take you from pre-season through post-season training!
Corrective Assessments are designed to help keep athletes on the field or court.  Our staff will come to your facility to perform individualized screens and provide a detailed analysis of each athlete for coaches and parents.  Once weaknesses have been identified, athletes will be given a corrective exercise program to help prepare the body for what it is being asked to do.  Follow-through and communication are keys to taking performance to the highest level, as well as preventing injury.  After the assessments are complete, our staff will be available to answer any questions you might have.

Our system is unique in that we use Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) as a tool for restoring proper muscle function.  Most modalities work on the assumption that a muscle is too strong, too weak, or too tight.  MAT protocols allow us to identify the availability of a muscle to fire upon command.  These simple re-education exercises can be done in just a few minutes a day and will be the building block for your strength and conditioning program.
