Welcome to Corrective Biomechanics! This page is here to provide some basic information about what to expect as a new client.
What Should I Wear?
Because we are checking range of motion, and working with the muscles directly, it is best to wear something that is easy to move around in. Many people choose to wear workout shorts/pants and a t-shirt (jeans, sweaters, turtlenecks, etc. are not recommended).
How Long Does the Typical Appointment Last?
1 Hour.
How Often Do I Need to Come In?
We try to see a new client once a week for 3 weeks. At that point we reevaluate to see where things are at. Our goal is to make the client self-sufficient through the modificaiton of exercise, etc.
Do You Provide Exercise Instruction?
As part of the process of restoring proper mechanics, we look at the exercises that you are currently doing, as well as making recommendations on exercises you might want to perform as well as avoid. Our exercise equipment allows us to simulate nearly any movement. We are available to take you through a couple simple exercises, or provide an entire workout regimen based upon what we have identified with M.A.T.
Do You Work w/ Other Health/Medical Professionals?
It is our desire to help you meet your goals. We understand our roles, and have great respect for the medical community. We work with a number Orthopedic Doctors, Chiropractors, Therapists, and their staffs. We will not only provide you with their contact information, but will communicate with them upon your request.
